I realise that This cache is old hat to many but i thought it worth a revue. The treasury of the Confederacy was placed on a train. an officer was given sealed orders to be opened at McLeansville. They stated he was to bury the steel pots at various locations along the tracks from there to 16 miles towards Company Shop which is now Burlington. The pots were to be buried, in 3's on either side of the tracks ,3' deep, and not over 100 paces from the track. He was to mark the locations on the map. To make a long story short the map is gone. Now here's my assumption. There must have been something at these places so he would know where to stop. A crossroad, a building, an odd geogoly formation, something of note. I went looking for this cache, but it was before I knew the 16 mile limit mentioned and I was looking beyond that on the outskirts of Burlington. Interesting side note: A state trooper puled up and ask me what I was doing. I told him. He wished...

El Chato was a robber who's real name was Pedro Nevarez. He led a gang of Apaches, some even said he was Apache. He worked out of a cave in the Oregon Mts. during the 1600's. His speciality was wagon, or mule trains which were carrying gold. He was captured in a trap and his men were killed except one who was left for dead. The one managed to make it to Robeldo where he was nursed by his friends. When he ventured into town he was recognized and arrested and tried. he asked for absolution before being hanged. He told the priest where the hideout was and that the large amount was in there. The priest looked for the loot bet could not find it. He wrote several letters to his superiors about the cave. In an Indian raid papers from a Mission were scattered. One was the letter from the priest. The letter circulated around for a while, but no one could the cave. In a couple of months, I am going to N.M. to look for it.Has anyone looked for this cache?

who witnessed the creation of the glyphs site over a couple of years in
the 1970's.

Alan first found the glyphs around 1975 ( he is unsure of exactly what year
but said " early 70's " ) , at the time he was surveying the water easement
for Gosford Council and had to make a line to Lyre Trig.
While working he noticed a chap emerge from a hole in the rock wall and walk
over to the old Gilford house , this old home long abandoned had become the
home of "derelicts" Alan said.
The Gilford home was built in the 1920's and was the home of EF Gilford.
Thinking that he may have been growing marijuana and curious , Alan went to have a
look in the hole and found the carvings on the western wall in...
