			<description><![CDATA[ The research has been done showing what a crooks and conmen Dalton/Houk were but there are those who will always choose to ignore facts. There are also those
whose reputations hinge on making the KGC into more than what it was and with that trying to prove that J Frank Dalton was really Jesse James. The proof is in
the pudding Dalton wasn&#39;t Jesse and never will be Jesse. It does make for lively discussion though.

afraid that you will spend your time in a vain attemt to find some truth. Howk&#39;s life story is based upon lies and just given the vast number of names he
used during the course of his life will attest to that. Even Dalton said Houk was of no kin to him. I don&#39;t believe Dalton ever mentioned the KGC. That

			<description><![CDATA[ Ok, I understand well that dates are sometimes not dates. I agree very much with this. It&#39;s a good way to disguise a clue. Generally the ones I&#39;ve seen
don&#39;t have 4 numbers, just 2. For example, 67, not 1967. If I was going to hide a treasure and wanted to leave a clue by using a date, I wouldn&#39;t put
1967 if I was carving it in 1867. This would mean everyone who happened to find the clue for that hundred years would know it is not a date, and that would

			<description><![CDATA[ Boattow, I would agree with you that most of the time if you are dealing with a treasure carving or map that has a date on it the numbers are rarely a date. I
don&#39;t deal much with tree carvings simply because the areas I hunt in don&#39;t have trees that live old enough to have been used, except maybe for a few
oaks here and there. All of the carvings I come across are in stone.

books are out there though. I&#39;m sure the KGC was all over just like the Masonic Lodge or any other group who has a membership. Boattow you&#39;re right
