a hand and wearing a pistol in a holster. This peglegged captian hook bird man is also next to a life size painting of an Indian with a black head band and
black belt. the bird man is looking at a round red circle probably the sun he is also nealing on his good leg. I wouldnt have thought anything about it except

			<description><![CDATA[ I don&#39;t think I&#39;ve heard of anyone getting credit for painting those pictures.

My first experience with them was over 5 years ago, when I was following some geocache directions to get to some petroglyphs. It was in December, with a bit of
snow on the ground and some fog. I started off by going to a sheep dip and finding directions to the petroglyph site. The hike was to the North. On the way, I
could see some kind of faint forms up on the cliffside. I was still some distance... ]]></description>

Have you seen or heard about the other painting of the peglegged hooked hand man? supposably it has a date painted underneath it. The date is 17?? something

			<description><![CDATA[ humm. Now i guess i am getting senile. I noticed that peg legged man quite a few years ago and always wondered about it. I would have swore I read an article
in the express about it and who painted it. I was almost sure it had to have been one of georges articles he posts every once in a while. And it was either him
or his brother denver who painted it. This would have been back in the 70 or 80s.

			<description><![CDATA[ roughrockxxx I just got off the phone with George, we had a nice long talk about the local history of Vernal. He said he didnt know anything about the bird man
and had never heard about it from anyone. When I was in Vernal last week end I stopped into the bitter creek book store and was thumbing threw an interesting
book about the history of vernal and the local old timers. I was going to buy the book but didnt have enough money on me at the time, it turns out that george
