I&#39;m going out on a limb here, but I think this is not a carving at all, but writing that has been overlayed on a cave wall. Photoshopped.

Of course, everyone can disagree. But I&#39;ve seen a whole lot of carvings in my lifetime, and this looks like it was written and not carved.

			<description><![CDATA[ Rockman, I would agree with you about the writing style but I have only seen a few things that can actually be attributed to Jesse James. In his letters his
writing style appears to be mostly the same but in the 2-3 carved things they have all been different. You can look at the copper map that JJ carved on and if
you believe JJ made the copper map you can compare it also. These two things show very different styles in some of the writing but there are one or two symbols
that show up that are... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I understand Alec, but everybody has certain styles in their writing. The way they make an f, or an a, or an s, etc.

Considering that, and the fact that if this is a map by Jesse James, and he wasn&#39;t trying to hide the fact obviously, (he signed it) then he also would not
have tried to hide his writing style. This isn&#39;t carving just using basic alphabet, it has style, someone, maybe Jesse, spent a lot of time carving it.
There are plenty of letters here in this carving to... ]]></description>
