Right above Doughnut Falls is an old mining facility. Anyone been to it or know what they were mining for?
If you go beyond that, there's a foundation of an old house. Don't know who owned it, but it probably belonged to one of the miners. I was too young to think of checking it out.

Silver in the form of galena was what was mined from
these mines! The Cardiff mine was a famous producer in it's time, and the extensive dump is from that mine. The ore was tramed down to the canyon since
the mine was located further up on the mountain. At doughnut falls the rocks are slimey and when I stepped on one to cross it, I fell and broke a bone in my
foot. So doughnut falls has a bad memory for me especially evey winter when I can still feel the pain in my foot joint!
