Why? | ||
|
OK, I started this whole mess I guess I'd better show back up and write a little about whhat I am thinking. Here's my idea. I believe it. I really do.
I think it all exists. I want it all to exist much like i think all of us want it to, even the non-believers, because lets face it... if it exists then
there's hope and reason to keep on looking. but, now that a new face has popped up and stated that he has been there this adds more concern to my thinking.
i know of three modern day men who claim they have been there ( to the carrie ). my question is if you have been there then why didn't you take pictures?
why didn't you gps it? why didn't you go in? why why why why why? and i already know the answer why. i have read it on here but i just put myself in
the situation and wonder what i would do if i were in that situation. now, i understand and know that the utes or whoever are protecting it, but here is my
next question... why? IT'S NOT EVEN ON THEIR LAND!!!!!! i'm not a lawyer or anything but as far as i understand, when they are on our land and we are
on our land, and they committ a crime (such as shoot someone or threaten someone or anything like that) then it is punishable by law. so if the cave or mine is
not on "their" land then why do they have any say in it? if i knew where it was then i would get a huge group of people together, i would get the
media and we all would go up there and check it out. then we'd out it on the history, discovery, and all other channels that would want to know about this.
guy, this is quite possibly the nations if not the worlds greatest lost treasure. do we all realize the historical value to this mine is? who cares about the
gold and stuff in it, think about how awesome it would be to say you found it and to take tours in it and show people from all across the world. if you know
where it is, even if it is blown up and you can't get into it, then why haven't you done anything about it? i say shame on you. this is the greatest
treasure and greatest kept secret of this time. if you have info about it then i feel it is your right... nay... your duty to get your name out there and get
protected by the big named people and rip this baby wide open. we all want to see it. i highly doubt the love and passion of finding this mine is going to die
simply because you found it and now they have tours going through it. i am willing to bet that every man, woman, and child that is reading this blog as well as
millions of others would tell you thank you and come to see the great lost carrie-shinob. take pride in your country, take pride in your state, and for heavens
sake, take pride in what you have discovered and let the rest of us feel as you did, and see as you saw. without this there will always be speculations and
doubts. silence the crowd! show us all what you have spent most of your life searching for, and have finally found. don't fear anything or anyone, i'm
sure there are plenty who will be willing to protect you if that really is necessary, heck, i'll do it no problem. lets just check this one off the list,
lets let the world see what we have here. lets prove them all wrong, or right. i think it's a crying shame that three of us in here say they have found it
and know that it is it for sure and yet do nothing. i personally feel chief walker would have no problem if they made a national park out of it and millions
came to see his great anncestors and what they did and protected. talk about honor, talk about pride. that alone could do more for the utes than anything ever
has. not to mention the mine does nothing right now, it is useless. lets put it to good use. so again, i ask you, come out of your shell, talk to people. i
know for a fact there are several news stations and tv stations that would be all over this. and i'm pretty sure you would have one heck of a finders
reward for it too. i don't say any of this for personal gain, i say this to silence the doubt and end the questions. let the world know once and for all
that all of it is true, and lets show them the truth!

The Carrie Shinob! | ||

So I will answer a couple of questions here and try and make it clear on some other stuff also. I guess I will say that Gifford found a different Mine than the
Carrie. That is if he is actaully giving the general location of his find correctly. Boren is talking about another mine totally than what Gifford found. This
is a fact pure and simple.
As I have stated before, Boren, I can not see that he has lied about anything at all yet. He has litterly been true concerning anything I have ever found. This is the way it is and I have only one reason to stand up for him. He is telling the truth so far with what I know. I have never meet him yet and I guess I will not get the oppertunity. I may have communicated with him on one of these sites. If it was not him it sure was someone who knew some things. So if I need a GPS location that would be to hand it out to everybody on this site am I guessing that correctly? I don't need no GPS location but yes the location is put up in my gun safe. I can go and sit on the mine and have Utes show up soon. Of course I doubt they are going to be there to talk very nicely so it is better to leave while I can. So now we have the whole world who will see a dream come true. Where does that place the Utes at? Have anyone ever gave them a bit of thought about just why in the hell they sit out in the rain and cold watching. Come on guys camping is fun for a few days but after that it gets old pretty quick. Now I will say I do not know actually where they are sitting and or weather they are in a cave and or sitting in a good outfitters tent. Yep, I know the direction they are located at and or lets say one that is watching. I am quiet sure there is more than one watching. There is no doubt in my mind. Of course there was two when I ran into them back in 2005. Then of course someone rode up on my son and I as we sat and ate our lunch on top of the mine and or cave. When I walked out on the other side of the timber they where not to be seen. We packed up quick and left the site. The Utes knows this was the last time I was back and this was in the summer of 2007. So I can pretty much visualize that if the Montezuma's Treasure was brought out by our government the first thing that would be done would be that Mexico would get a lawyer and want there gold brought back into Mexico. Then Bush would just give it to them. So for poor folkes like me I will never see it. Our government is not going to give me one red cent for a finders fee. Remember the individual down south in Utah who found a stash of gold bars. Supposedly he made the governement an offer and he wanted a finders fee. Well guess what he was going to get? Is it really hard to figure? The movie National Treasure 2 had a good ending in it didn't it? Just remember that that was a movie. As for the movie it did have some stuff in it that was believable. Not to you but dume me. They where hunting Cabola and there are some that believe it is here. At least I do. Then wasn't it funny about how there was an underground river in the movie? Does Boren state that at all in his books? Does Dale Bascom say that at all in his chapter on the Sacred Mine? Guys I have said enough that all of you know that I am completly crazy. That is good enough. Lost in my dreams! |

Snow on the Uintas on August the 16th! | ||
|
For those hunting the mines. A beautiful view of snow on the Uintas. Beautiful, that is if you are ready for it. A very short season for sure as the snow was
there for a long while during the spring. I was in snow on July 10th that was anywhere from 10 to 30 yards long and knee deep. It was easy to get around but
the snow was there and it was a hindrence. Two weeks before and I got stuck in waste deep snow. My son was following in his P/U and or I would have never tried
it. We then left the area. The news said there would be snow last night at 10K and it looks to be lower from here.

Guys as any one can now see there is no snow on the Uintas. The angle and sun had something to do with our view this morning. The snow is not there and my son
called and told me that there was no snow. We had heard there was to be snow during the news last night. This morning it looked to be snow covering the
mountains. Not so as my son was going to the Uintas and he got there and called and said there was none. Our mistake and a big one!

No Snow Yet! | ||

Guys it sure was the light this morning and it looked like snow. I told my son I would not go if I where him. Climbing in the mountains is bad enough but
climbing in the snow is worst. Last time my son and I got caught in a blizzard there he got snow blind. Oh it was fun! Anyway it is weird how the light worked
this morning. As for the spot that I was watching, well I can see a whole lot of the Uintas.

Sept the 1st and Snow! | ||

The treasure hunt is over with this year. It is right now snowing on my home. It has been hailing, raining , lightning and thundering for two days now. The
Carrie is now being covered with snow. When it clears there will be snow on the mountains. There is always next year and now time to plan for next year and
where to go then. Dig out the books and maps and plan and study.

Boy Lost, that was a quick summer, eh? Do you have any places you can look down in the valleys where it doesn't snow this early? Or does it snow everywhere
up there? I dont know.
Lost and anybody else, What do you make of this old map on page 57 of George Thompson's Faded Footprints book? It's called the Garcia Waybill. Is this map generally believed to be the real deal? Does this map refer to what we call on the forum the "Josephine"? |

The CARRIE-SHINOB! | ||

First Rockman the snow will more than likely melt off. It is now getting cold thought. On the temp outlook I noticed that Wednesday night it is going to be
a low here of 38 degrees and at the best it puts it at 28 there in the Uintas. It is right now 40 degrees on my front porch and it is still light in the
western sky. It is now freezing in the Uintas. It cleared off and I did drive out near the mountains this afternoon. Snow is own the mountains. From here on
out it will be colder in the mountains. For people who do not know what they are doing and or have just a bit of bad luck it could get rought there now. Yes I
will still venture out. As for the gas prices and of course I have said I would stay away from the Carrie this year and so I have not ventured into that area.
It would be warmer in most cases there although you have to be careful anytime you play in the mountains now. It can be warm and you might be sweating and one
hour later you can be cold. It will now take a different fram of mind for the mountains now.

Thanks Lost,
What makes me wonder is if that map I sent you is a part of this garcia waybill. If you was to follow Kenworthy's thinking, the Garcia waybill would be the last map. The one I sent you would be the second map. The first map would be from Mexico City or Sante Fe to the Unitahs. Probably don't need it anyway. Of course you know I can never go there, but I like playing around with the old maps. |

The Carrie Shinob! | ||

Rockman your map was from 1783. Actually on the Garcia waybill it says 1722-1814. Yes your map dealt with the Carrie and or what ever you want to call it. The
Garcia Waybill was wrote by Garcia in 1841 and of course he was recalling the defeat by the Utes at the site. Yes I know it would have went to Sante Fe first.
In fact depending on the setup this might have been the last place for it to go except for the fact that it was written in Mexico City. This was definitly for
the records but it did not give the exact hidden details and or how to get there. There was a reason for this Rockman.
Now Rockman let me throw in some more BS here for all. We want everyone here to cry BS. This is what this whole deal is set up for. Ever hear the story that Mel Fisher came out here for a reason? Well he came out here for only one reaon. He had found something that let him know that the most part of the gold on the Attocia actually came from the Uintas. He came out here to find this. Also remember that the Attocia actually sank in 1622. We are talking only 100 years from the time that Cortez had conquered the Aztec at Mexico City. Coranado went forward to search in 1539 and or 1540. So sometimes inbetween 1540 and 1622 the Spanish where mining gold from the Josephine and or the Carrie-Shinob. How long would have it taken to get back to the loading docks to be loaded onto the Attocia? Then how many and or how long had they actually been carring gold out of the Uintas. Was silver also carried out and or was they getting enough out of Peru. Would it have been to much trouble to carry out silver from the Uintas? Of course the gold and silver bars at the Carrie carried dates on them dating from the late 1780s to 1814 which was the year Garcia was defeated. Evidently all of the gold before the late 1780's had been shipped out. Then of course we have no idea of how long the mines would have been shut down in earlier defeats by the Utes. All of this is certainly interesting history. Who knows when it can ever come forward and or be documented? Someone has to get into the mines before that can happen. The Utes are concerned with there religioun and we are concerned with our history. The two do not jive one bit and someone is the loser here. Lost for sure! |

Lost,
If the Garcia waybill is correct it says there are "many slabs of virgin silver, 650 cargas of bar silver, and 240 cargas of bar gold." Either they were mining more silver than gold, or they were storing the silver and shipping the gold. The waybill also says "the metal contains half of silver and a fifth part gold." I don't know if he is referring to the metal ore they're mining or the bars after they have been smelted and not refined. Did you mean Garcia wrote the map in 1814? Thanks for all your input Lost, I'll be talking to you. |

Rockman the map was dated and signed in Mexico City in 1841. He was recalling the actual massacure by the Utes and also putting the so called directions on
this map which in no way works out. I personnally gurantee you that there is other maps floating around. I have said it before but I will say it again, The
Mormons have had a really good habbit of putting up things that they have no idea of what it is actually all about. It has been passed down thru the
generations and all they know is that they have a map. I have seen several and of course they will not let you copy and or basically touch the maps. It is easy
to see what they pertain to and where the location is at. That is it and all that I found was verified that way after I got to writting on the sites here. So
we know that there is negative stuff wrote here but there is people out there that is willing to help once the word is out. I have deeply apreciated any help
that was given to me. Of course Rockman that goes to you also and others who see this that have also helped.
As for the silver yes it is there and I have known it forever. Figure out the ton weight of it all and see what you get. More than anyone could ever carry out on his back in his lifetime for sure. Several trips out with gold on your back and yours and your family's worries would be over with. Then I always figured I would help people who needed helping just as Caleb did so. If you will notice Caleb took gold out all of the time but he did not throw money around at all. His down fall was when he was going to break his oath. One individual once told me that is just why he died at his time. Like 6 months after his death the Indian Reservation was opened up. I guess in all reality they would have never let Caleb go in at all no matter what. Our government was involved and they wanted it all. Plan and simple and it is no different today. Lost |
