OK treasure hunting buffs and book of Mormon readers. In researching possibilities of contents of famed Montezuma treasure I came across a hypothetical reason for the Aztecs relocation of whatever they were supposed to be running away from the Spaniards with ,to the north ,as legend would have it, toward Utah and a few other surrounding states.the Aztec or Mexica were the last great empire of the valley of Mexico.Montezuma or Mo-tec-a-zoma ,as pronounced by his people began to have visions and reading signs before Cortes landed ,because of this the emperor levied heavy taxes upon the conquered states of the valley and i believe may have even looted the great temples or burial sights at the Olmec city Teotihuacan which the Aztecs called the home of the gods . if there is truth written about in the book of Mormon then the place all of the records were kept was a place called the hill shim ,is it possible that the great city Teotihuacan and Zarahemla mentioned in the"B.of M." are one in the same and maybe the Aztecs took the records of all the peoples and whatever else was in the hill Shim far away from the Spanish invaders, I don't know ,just a little something to think about . I am not trying to get into truth about religion arguments but i have to try to draw upon all information including native American legends and myths. and religious possibility's in trying to find the truth. ask your self what was the most precious to the ancients , what was the most sacred.
