Azide hi,,,,well as a member of GPAA I thought I would just slip in the the little disc I got of claims guides an see what Utah has,,,I saw on the disc which is the same as the Claims Gide Catalog ,,,about twenty one seperate large placer gold areas in the State of Utah,,,,listed by countys,,,an with directions where they are at an what type of gold ,,,,an the regulations for dregeing,,,where u can do it,,,,an who to contact for permits,,,an the places ur allowed to drege,,,and even a form in there to fill out ,,,and they also have all the old lost treasure storys ,,,showing the different areas,,,,,now to address ur thing about claims,,,I didnt see any specific claims listed,,,,as partnered with GPAA,,,,,,,,but I know ,,that GPAA ,,,,,dont own claims specifically,,,,they,,,,,partner up with ,,, the original claim owner,,,an ,,, pay the costs for ,,,insurance ,permits, fees, taxes, etc,, an improvements,,survey it,,,,,for the rights ,,,to be able to have,,, other card carring,,claims permit holders,,of GPAA members,, share the original claim owners land,, an be able to go ,,prospecting on it,,,,,its a pretty good deal for all,,,,,but for some reason,,,unknown to me??? the Utah peoples,, aint listing their claims,, which they own,,,with GPAA,,,when they could ,,,an get some of their expenses paid for,,,,but what I read ,,,was alot of areas,,,in Utah do have gold,,,they have a map with all the placers marked out on it also,,,,and other maps,,,with all the treasure stuff marked out of the area,,,,,and like I said,,,a list of countys an the rivers or creeks in the countys,,,that have placers,,,and I saw ruffly ? nineteen or so countys listed,,,that aint including all the rivers they mentioned,,,LOL,,,so must be some gold up there LOL,,,,and I think this little disc,,of the claims guide,, for ten bucks more,,is well worth it,,,beats thumbing thru the pages,,LOL,,,of a big book about the size of a sears catalogue,,,LOL,,but I got that also ,,for that hands on in the field stuff,,,,,LOL,,,they also that stuff ,,,above for every state,,, in the united states,,an parts of canada an mexico too,,,,listing where stuff is,,placers,,,claims shared with GPAA,for their members an claims guide an permit holders,,,and plus all the neat lost treasure stores,,,for each of those areas,,,,lots of info directions,,,an maps too,,,,,and reports of the size of the gold being recovered,,,and for those of u ,,,who have ever been to,, a GPAA gold show,,u get to eyeball all the new , an old ,,gagets that find gold, the best , an see demos, an buy all the goodies,,,an check out all the gold ,,that others have found,,, or are selling,,,,and get some new pans,,and classifiers,,an u name it ,,,lots of goodies,,,metal detectors too,,,they got a internet site ,,,u might wanna check it out,,,,,see when there will be a gold show near u,,,an make a trip of it,,,,its like the fair of prospectors,,,LOL,,,once u are a member,,,, think u can even sell ur stuff ,,gold ,,,or what ever it is,,,,at one of the shows,,,lots of nice people,,,an familys all involved ,,,,in a healthy outdoor recreational activity an sport,,,,,,,,gesh I should get a discount on my membership that sounded like a comercial but I have been a member over twenty years now,,,an they also help keep the lands open ,,for the little prospectors like us,,,,,when we ban together in a club,,,like GPAA ,,gold prospectors of america association,,,,,,,, Cat ,,,,,,,,

, but mostly for a long time now,,,I just see others ,,,,get the better stuff,,,, thats the ,younger ones,,,that still has,, all the engerys ,,,to dig an work thru,, alot of dirt LOL ,,,,and the nugget shooters ,,,with gold auto ground balance,, for high mineral soil areas,,,,,with them special gold findin metal detectors,,,,,I see they do pretty good also,,,,but all that ,,,takes alot of work,,,,,,climbing ,,walkin an bendin,,diggin,,,,,all them things,,, I dont do very well,,anymore,,,but it dont stop me from looking LOL at the areas, from a distance Cat ,,,,,,

Pubah hi LOL hey we aint got no gold down here,,in southern california,,LOL thats just fools gold LOL we got here iron pyrites LOL and iffin we do got some gold ,,,its not usually pretty gold colored,,, in the the bigger chunks,,its more rusty coated dirty colored,,,, till its cleaned off,,,,but if u ever saw some of that ,,,austrailan gold ,,,now that is pretty gold,,,very nice color,,deeper darker an richer color,,,but if ur heading to california,,,the southern part ,,as u head down the fifteen freeway,,,when ur coming outa the cajon pass headed south,,,there is a canyon called lytle creek canyon,,sierra ave off ramp,,,head up into the mouth of the canyon,,,right on the face up to ur left ,,is a place called texas hill,,,a hydrolic mining thing that was closed down,,,where millions of dollars in gold ,,was washed outa the mountain side by a big blast of water from a hose,,,its sorta a strip mining deal an thats why it was closed,,,but that whole canyon,,,at one time used to have every square inch staked out in claims,,,some active claims still remain in parts,,,mostly its San Bernardino County Forrest jurisdiction ,,,the lytle creek has several branches off it further up,,,one time when gold was ,,eight hundred dollars a ounce,,when was that the seventys??,,anyhow,,people said they was taking out about a ounce a day,,,, way up in the top of the creek,,,,had a guy come by once ,,while I was sluicing,,,said he found a nuggie about the size of his thumb ,,down near the blacktop road ,,close to that texas hill,,,,with his metal detector,,,,,all I got was fine pieces an some mercury in my sluice,,,but I was just doing creek stuff,,,,on the other side of that,,,canyon,,,north is the cajon creek,,,the fifteen freeway runs along side it,,,an the old highway between both,,,at the blue cut colord hills,,alot seem to sluice an dredge in that area,,,too steep of a bank an climb down for me to see what they are getting or doing,,they might be bringing their dirt from other areas an just cleaning it there,,,I really dont know but thems ,,mostly,, open prospecting areas,,here in southern california,,,all the prospectors had to travel thru that canyon coming an goiing as San Bernardino was the county seat place to file claims,,,lots of bear storys an killings also reported,,, for that area,,,,,,so if they found it ,,they might of also lost it there,,,,also that blue cut is a silver area,,,,and copper too,,,an saphires,,,but really we aint got no sizable gold its,,and iffin u stop,, in the forrest areas,,, in southern california ,,u gotta have a permit,,,if u aint in a specific seperate ,, paid park,,,think they are um like? six bucks a day?? or yearly pass? I dont know how much it is,,,maybe fifteen or twenty bucks,?? but its free if ur disabled or lifetime onetime low fee for senior,,,,but u got to get that permit first ,,,to stop or walk,, in the forrest,,or near the creeks,,,,thru the forrest service also,,,,,,and ,all that gold,,, is up in ,,,,Northern California,,or Utah ,, I think aint it???
