If I could figure out how to post pictures on here I'd show you at least one thing it indisputably is. Tried but failed.
But if that's what it is I'll confess I'm sorry to have wasted my time trying to figure it out. |

Puttin pics up here is dead easy... first you gotp http://www.photobucket.com and open and account.
Once you got that you can upload pics from your comp to your account. Below the pic they give you the link to put the pic onto this or any other site. what you need to look for is the [img] then the link with the closed img on the end of the link. copy and paste it into your text when you reply or put something on here and it should appear. Its that easy, now you know how you have no excuses lol hope it helps. |

Also you have not wasted your time, I give you credit for your determination to crack this. I guarantee you will be suprised and amazed where this image came from and may even benifit you guys in some way once you see where it came from. I could
not believe it myself when I first saw the blown up image and I have known about this for over 2 years keeping it to myself.

Yes I agree this is a treasure hunt after a fashion, one that get's the brain thnking and trying to solve a riddle although this is no riddle.
The more that become involved in it and make suggestions the earlier this will be solved. Good thinking PTCarrol good reasoning too you are close too but not close enough I cant give you any clues but keep thinking I wonder how many people are enjoying this thread because something like this could be a good thing to have on here as a regulat thing, like a weekly or monthly quiz but thats up to whyte eagle lol |

alright you have given me a headache LOL... the thing that sticks out is what highmountaineasy called a peg leg. although it looks more like an upside down
arch with a phallic devise.... i have seen this symbol before , well sort of, but we shall leave it at that . if it is imagination you are after there are many
imaginary things there like a hummingbird in tunic boys hat/ hair . this thing is puzzling because it has about three different styles of art in it . the sword
might be more English broad sword , or short sword if you like but the blade is fluted. the native /deity looking guy is not really riding the horse more like
he is part of it . so tunic boy losses his horse to native ,scary looking dude ,with split personality . as a result tunic boy kills horse with funny looking S
shaped front legs. now tell me thing was found on the Atocha or something so i can be even more completely lost.
but there is also a pyramid looking stone or something in the hilt of the
sword, looks like one of the temples in Teotihuacan. and i had to count tunic boys fingers about 4 times to make sure he did not have six. the native still
looks Inca or maybe Egyptian , but he could be Martian for all i know . now don't be offended , it is just a little Yankee humor . also there are about
three or four different symbols in the tack on the horse that resemble any thing from the Egyptian ankh to the sceptre of Quetzalcoatl. oops that might be the
same thing.

I have to give credit where it's due and Kanabite you are trying real hard. As far as I know it is not a treasure map as such but when you find out how I
came to be in possession of the image it will really make you sit up and rethink your history and what we were all taught.
Some things are so obvious that we dont see them, so I am going to put another pic up here for you to ponder over. As I said at the start this is not a trick or joke, I do take my history very seriously and when I first came across this I was startled because no one else realised its importance.
I do think this image is important because it is tangible proof of visits to far off places by another race of human beings. The period of time we are told this image was dated is the 7th century so put your thinking caps on once more after your nice sleep lol if you got any lol.

Re: identify this image what is it? | ||

Easy one, this is a close-up photo of one of the decorative panels found on a reproduction of an early 7th century Anglo Saxon helmet found in mound 1 at the
ship burial at Sutton Hoo, Suffolk, England and on display at the British Museum on Great Russell Street, London England. Here is a photo of the helmet, zoom
in and you will see the detail on the decorative panels.

NIce one Herb except you missed the point of the excersise which was to explain what the image actually meant. Until I put the second image up a few were still
guessing, the closest they came to solving it was South American Indian not North American Indian.
Only one guide at the BM decided the figure was an Amazonian Indian too far south. When it was excavated in 1939, the historians and archaeologist were quick to identify the find as being Saxon, the problem is the Saxons never discovered America or to my knowledge ever sailed there. Caesar desribes and writes how the Britains built their ships using iron nails which is exactly how the sutton hoo ship was put together. Ceasar also describes the Britains as growing hair under their noses what we call a moustache. The Saxons used wooden dowels to build their ships because they didn't have the iron. In 562 a Comet hit Britain which devastating effects that make many parts of it desolate and barren. Nothing would grow for 11 years. Madoc, Arthur's brother was at sea with the fleet when the comet struck the skies turned black blocking out the sun and stars so they kept sailing West, eventually coming to what we now know as America. Proof of this was found at Bat Creek, Tenessee when a skeleton was found in a burial mound. Nothing unusual in that except there was a rock found under the scull with engravings. No one could decipher or translate the strange carvings for over 100 years until Alan Wilson and Baram Blackett saw a photograph and recognised the engravings as the old British Coelbren Alphabet. Translated the rock read, "Here lies Madoc, the great ruler he was." Madoc turns out to be King Arthur's brother who returned to Britain bearing good news that the otherworld had been found. So America had a migration in the 6th century by shiploads of Britains. There are records of Welsh speaking Indians. Strange how they assimilated with the natives. Arthur met his death in America and there is a picture to prove it
notice the guys with bows and arrows with feathers in their head are these not what we call North American Indians? This was found in a church painted on a wall. During the reformation all churches had to paint all their wall with whitewash. Over the years some needed repainting owing to flaking and this remarkable painting was uncovered. It was painted in the 12th century and Britains were able to describe North American Indians even then. Just another little bit of evidence to show how the British establishment cover things up as if they didnt exist. However they failed to cover up the Helmet and the painting. |

Very interesting point of view Alan, thanks for sharing it. I enjoyed it even though I didn't know much about it.

Well Alan ... that is a lot to take in for one post ...
1) Exactly what is it in the armour plate of the helmet that tells us we are looking at a scene depicted as North American Indian?
2) Assuming the helmet is Saxon in origin, and the panel on the helmet depicts a possible loss in battle of the Saxon's to whomever is riding the horse
that is presumed stolen, why would they chose to display a scene of a loss in battle? (I guess it is possible it is simply depicting a scene from a battle and
not a loss)

Hi Whyte Eagle, and thank you for you kind and interesting comments I have been studying the Sutton Hoo treasure ship since believe it or not 1994 and
something did not add up. It had been a long process during which time I decided to delve deeply into the contents of the actual ship.
The image on the helmet depicts to me what I would call a red indian no offence intended there. As kids we used to play cowboys and indians because we didnt have television, computers and we had to make our own games up just like cops and robbers if you get my drift. So from my childhood days the figure mounted on the horse was a red indian of course in this day and age we are not allowed to call indian's that instead we have to call them north american indians. So to be politically correct thats what I have done in order to give due respect to my american cousins or neighbours if you like. No one had noticed what or who the figure on horseback was and like yourself this is just an image of a battle scene. But the curious thing is the Saxon's never sailed to America or laid claim to it as it is mentioned in the Bruts regarding Madoc as well as other documents. Even the Mabinogion tells of journeys to the otherworld, that being America as it is known today. It also describes the prestilence of the yellow plauge in which nothing lived and was the cause of Melgwyn Gwynned's death. This was known as the terrible wasteland in which nothing lived or grew. Of course there are a great many other thigs about the SH ship, for example on that wonderful purse you will find an image of Gilgamesh holding up two lions. The bowls have engraved inside them the star of David an indication of the ten lost tribes of Israel. Spoons engraved with the Colebren Alphabet each on bearing the Cross a sign that these people were christians which the Saxons were only just being converted. Both Nennius and Gildas state Chritisnity began in Britian in 37 AD long before St. Augustine started to introduce christianity to the Saxons. The Britsh had their own religion and churches, why would they want another? Ok if you look closey at the guy with all those arrows stuck in him he wears a crown only Kings wore crowns. Henry the VIII's reformations destroyed many christian churches, those were allowed to remain and continue were all whitewashed to cover any paintings. Over the years that whitewash started to peel off and needed repainting. So it was decided to strip the wall and the painting was revealed. There can be no doubt in anyone's mind that the figures either side of the victim are north american Indians. All they were doing in those days was reminding people about past history. In a way, this should be more important you guys across the pond because it proves that links to America had been made before Columbus. Incidentally, if you were to read Artorious Rex Discovered, you would also find that at least four other burial ships have been located in Britain. Another unknown fact is just as the Egyptians had a Valley of the Kings so did the ancient Briton's and I have been there. Sadly because this brings up Real British history it is neglected and because of political correctness shoved under the carpet and discarded. In 1994 I took my equipment to several sites to find out if there was any metal in the ground in certain area's. One of those was the burial site of King Arthur himslef. I followed a continuous non ferrous target about 80 feet on one side and the same on the other it worked out to be the same shape of a ship. The sites still there and the only problem is getting a contract with the landowner who happens to be a hermit who doesn't want anyone on his land. Theres another thing too there was no wood recovered from the Sutton Hoo ship so carbon dating could not be done. The coins found in the ship were dated by museum staff. The problem there is that the Greeks messed up the dates and because of that dating of the ship could be wrong. At no stage do I claim this is ship belonged to Arthur, however it might of belonged to one of his kinsmen who returned home to die in the land he was born but thats just a guess. Who knows, there is ample evidence to prove the ship has been misidentified and is British rather than being Saxon. I hope I have managed to answer your questions to your satisfaction, however there will always be someone who doubts it. LOL |

well i guess the cat is out of the bag . i am having trouble identifying the lance/spear with what appears to be a metal point with anything in the time frame
you have given us regarding the helmet, in reference to north American Indian tribes. also looking into the shield of the native, and what little bit of garb i
can make out . are you sure he is not from farther south ?i am having a hard time admitting that i might be in agreement with the person from the BM about the
possible geographical origins of the character. now this is not my gig mate, so bear with me . if it were a little bit earlier in time i might be persuaded to
think you to have a Hopewell on the helmet , but the time frame you gave is off a little bit . granted there were 500 nations in America by the time Columbus
hit land so maybe the natives kinsman are unknown. but that style he is represented with is screaming south to me . keep posting these theroys any way and i
will at least entertain the ideas. we have all heard the name Madoc before , but i do not agree with boren that he was the first Aztec king .

I did not know the King Arthur was ever proved to have actually lived(I don't know much), also the man on the horse does not look like any red Indian I
have ever known or seen any representation of(facial features look African, as well as the hair). What are the other plates on the helmet depicting?
