I don't think they were using veras, because I'm pretty sure the Confederates did this. But you have some interesting points. I will be back out there day after tomorrow. Your 65 degrees is interesting. I will let you know if it works in the field, or if any of it matches up. Thank you for your time and effort!

I havent studied much on the confederates and how they may have used symbols. One thing keeps me thinking about this symbol is that 3 points touch the + change direction symbol the first on at 20 Degrees the second one at 45 degrees and the last one wich I would guess to be depicting a river or stream. Then you have the 65 degrees could it be possible that this is leading you to a triangle or 3 different trails to ??? I was just curiouse if this helped at all if so I would like to add it to my files as being used by the confederates. Seems alot of different groups used simular symbols to create a certain code. Well good luck on your site hope you find the end of that trail.. Dup.

I need an industrial leaf blower right now. You degree might be correct - there is something curious there - but till the leaves blow away.................. But I did find this - I am taking all guesses...LOL I think them old boys are having a great laugh watching me climb up and fall off them mountains...LOL
