To Alan Hassell--
"you guys want to know the truth"
Yes, but you clearly don't know what that is. You are not a historian (erroneously claimed the word "Celt" to be a modern word, know nothing about Native Americans)... you are prickly and disrespectful... you come from a country that can't let go of the Queen Mother no matter how many times it comes up for vote, and reflected in your obsession with the history of the Monarchy instead of the just as interesting (and corrupted) history of Australia and New Zealand (heard of Martin Doutre or read his book "Ancient Celtic New Zealand"?).
You drop by and leave an intriguing couple of pictures of a supposed Saxon helmet, which you then beg everybody to comment on in the hopes of "educating them" when in truth, you are fishing for information-- and trying to promote a book.
Though it's humorous to watch the sparring, all you have succeeded in doing is drawing a lot of attention to yourself, most of it negative... the majority of insults have been flung by you.
While good for a laugh you are hardly a harbinger of truth.
Shame, because you are in over your head with what you have discovered and while you seem to know that already, you and your friends' discoveries will likely go nowhere in educating anybody, least of all yourself.
History is and always has been written by the victors. Those of us who want to know more, who want to know the truth and the details are doing better exchanging ideas with people who know the meaning of the word "respect".
